This site is dedicated to the memory of John Baillie.

Team Baillie Hadrian’s Wall Walk – Easter 2009 – Message from Les Baillie John would have been 50 on November 12th 2008, I will be 50 in April 2009 and it would have been our silver wedding anniversary next July. So, quite an important few months for us. When the Hadrian’s Wall path was opened, John and I decided that that would be what we did to celebrate our half centuries. Now instead, to celebrate my half century and to commemorate John, I’m planning to do the 84 mile walk, from Wallsend in Newcastle to Bowness-on-Solway on the Solway Firth, with friends – about 25 so far, plus others who are coming to wave us off, or meet us and walk for a couple of days. If you’d like to join us, please contact me at home and I’ll send you full details. Although I don’t plan this specifically as a fund raiser, it is partly in memory of John and it will be a great opportunity to raise some money for the MNDA. So if you would like to show your support by making a contribution, instead of – or maybe even as well as, taking part in the walk - this is the place to do it. All money raised by this page will be earmarked as donations made via this Tribute Fund when they reach the Motor Neurone Disease Association. Please click on the 'Donate to this Fund' button above. Donating on this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to donate: MNDA will receive your money electronically and if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in Gift Aid will be added to your donation at no cost to you. Many thanks for your support.
